Another significant Great Moravian landmark, the archaeological site Na Díle, lays several kilometres north-west of Staré Město near Modrá and the old trade route, which used to connect the midst of the Morava river basin with the Vyškov region. A simple church was erected here in the beginning of the 9th century, according to experts it was among the oldest in Moravia and became defunct at the end of the 17th century.

In the years 1999–2000 a small stone church of St. John the Baptist – a hypothetical reconstruction of the original temple – was built beside the foundations of the original building on a hillock overlooking the open-air archaeological museum. The church is a popular location for wedding ceremonies, but as the building has only been blessed, however not consecrated, only civil ceremonies take place here.
